After uploading your quotation, invoice or other document in Teamleader, it is possible that you receive the following message: “We are sorry, live-preview does not work for this PDF”.
First of all, don’t worry: this message does not mean that the upload of your document was not successful. What it does mean however, is that Teamleader is looking for an example document (like a quotation or an invoice) to preview, but can’t find it.
There are two scenario’s in which it is possible to receive this message:
- You have more than one department in Teamleader and it’s the first time that you upload a certain document layout – this applies to all document types – for this department.
- You have just created a new layout variation for the same department, and it’s the first time that you upload a certain document layout – this applies to all document types – for this layout variation.
If you want Teamleader to provide a live-preview for your document, then you need to give the program a little hint by creating a first document with this new layout. You can do that by creating a new document from scratch, or by:
a. In the case of scenario 1: changing the department of the document
b. In the case of scenario 2: changing the layout of the document to the other layout variation
Now, a live-preview will be generated in your Settings > Document layout for that type of document. Note that there needs to be an example document for all document types, otherwise the message will still appear for some document types.
