When you’re adding new employees to your Teamleader account, you might come across this error message:


username already in use


You're now probably thinking: but I don’t have a user with this name? Who is this Jeroen person secretly using my Teamleader account? I don’t even know somebody called Jeroen? Don’t worry, nobody is stealing your account. Teamleader shows this message because the username must be unique across all users of the entire Teamleader environment, so not only in your account. This means you’ll have to come up with a more creative username. For example, you can use an email address instead, or try to add initials or numbers.
