As you might know, finished tasks or meetings linked to your project end up as timetracking in that project. It's however also possible to add a work order to your project and register it as timetracking. In this article you can discover how, and how to invoice that same work order via your project.

Two ways to invoice a work order out of a project will be discussed:

  • Link the work order directly to the project and invoice it
  • Invoice a work order out of a meeting linked to the project

Link the work order directly to the project and invoice it

  1. Create a project and a first milestone
  2. Create a work order and immediately link it to the right client, project and milestone
    • Add some extra products if needed
  3. Go to the project and look at your timetracking: the work order will be registered under ‘working hours’:
  4. Invoice the milestone (= invoice the work order)
    • Extra costs like extra products you added to the work order will be added to the invoice as a separate article line. Keep in mind you only see these extra costs when you invoice them. They won’t be visible in your budget usage in the project.

Invoice a work order out of a meeting linked to the project

  1. Create a project and a first milestone
  2. Create a meeting in the first milestone
  3. Go to the mobile app > Meetings > Click on the meeting you created > Make work order
    • Add some extra products if needed
  4. Go back to the project and look at the timetracking: the work order will be registered under ‘working hours’
  5. Invoice the milestone (= invoice the work order)
    • Extra costs like extra products you added to the work order, or in the case of meetings your mileage allowance, will be added to the invoice as separate article lines. Keep in mind you only see these extra costs when you invoice them. They won’t be visible in your budget usage in the project.
